just found out my sister did 20 yrs. ago ...... she never wanted to tell me or ANYONE coz she didn't think anyone would believe her/it was the most negative experience of her life she says .. if you can imagine something like that who wouldn't be terrified!! and it had an 'evil' message, when she prayed to the Lord it vanished. and we weren't even brought up in a religious family either
what happened to you or someone you know??
these things REALLY happen!! [unfortunately]\p.s. it was NOT a 'dream' either.

Yep, I have had a similiar experience. This black blob thing was over me as I was laying on the couch at my friends house. I was on my stomach, but had a 'sense' it was a huge black blob. It crawled on my back (no joke) and I felt myself sink into the couch. I said in my head "God! Take it away!" It was gone instantly. I jumped up screaming and ran to my friends bedroom. Next morning she told me the same thing had happend to her boyfriend in that house just 6 months earlier. I was terrified and refused to sleep alone for almost a year afterwards.

I used to have that problem....in my first house...a lot. I tried to find out what it was. There are two things that I found one is scientific, the other is more spritual.
First, when you are asleep you are on REM stages (there are I believe 7) well all I remember is that you wake up, your brains starts working, but your body is still asleep. Therefore you cant really open your eyes, and all you see is a light and a"shadow"
Then, I read a couple of books, cause that explanation I just dont buy. Some AP (astral projections) say that when you go outside your body you can see people, entities, they wont harm you, they are there to protect you, try and talk to them and calm down. (I read this in "Astral Projections")
I havent had that problem for a long time, I know it feels suffocating, enerving and you feel very scared but think positive, they cant harm you. Some people use them as guides, I wouldnt personally.
People will not believe you, so keep it to yourself and that "entity" to figure out how to stop it.

Yes, this does really happen. I'm sure your sister very much appreciates that you believe her, since she finally opened up about it after all these years.

I've had this happen three times. It happens in a strange state of alertness that's not really either asleep or awake. In this state we're more aware of beings that aren't quite on our plane of reality. Each time this has happened, the thing has had me pinned down to the bed. I'm trying to move or talk but I can't do either. I've gotten to where I know that if I can make a sound, trying to talk or cry out, that it will wake me up and it will be over. So I put all my effort into that until it happens and it takes a great effort to bring sound to my throat in that situation. I'm not trying to scare anyone here, I have never gotten the feeling that the thing could really hurt me and each time I've intuitively known that all I have to do is have a strong will and break the "spell" and it will end. I think they look for receptive people who will be able to see them, and just mess with them. This hasn't happened in a really long time, I got more confident each time and I think it got the point that I wasn't an easy target.

Good things happen to receptive people in this awake/sleep state too though, just so you know!! In April of 2000 a very close friend of mine died, and two days after his death he came and talked to me while I was in this state. He came to say goodbye to me and to apologize for something. I had no idea what he was apologizing for at the time, but I woke up to myself saying "I forgive you." The next day I found out through a mutual friend about a fairly minor wrong that he had done to one of my family members; it's something that would have upset me much worse if he hadn't already told me he was sorry. :)

I've had a black shadow beside me before. It was when I was 16 and I had started to seriously Ap (astral project) and I know I was doing it right by the way I started to feel light and flowing. I'd say I got about 4 feet from my body and 'looked' over and saw a hulking black figure that rose it's arms very quickly and slamed my soul/spirit back into my body and I fell out of bed. Another time I heard one talking quickly and quietly to something else. After that I broke out my salt and sage and cleansed the whole house. But still I kept seeing something flit back and forth every time I started to astral project. (And yes I was in the right mindset and not scared of dying or getting lost. As I said I was serious about it) But still very unnerving.

i think those are called shadow ppl and if you look it up you get a lot of stories like the ones before mine. they're generally regarded as negative, but i didn't get that impression. i've been into magick and whatnot for a long, long time, and one night i was frustrated cuz i couldn't "see" anything. so i closed my eyes and asked (god) that if i was ready i wanted to see something.

well, i did - with my eyes closed i felt my toes start to get really cold, then my fingertips, after a minute something felt different so i opened my eyes and saw three of 'em. they were standing around my bed, tall shadowy triangle-shaped creatures. no red eyes, no huge claws/fangs, just blobs. i looked at each one and tho the room was dark (some light from the window) it looked like a fuzzy shadow against shadow, like it was a little extra dark in that spot.

i wasn't scared, didn't get any negative vibes off 'em, but they did really overwhelm me so i closed my eyes, admitted i wasn't ready and the cold toes/fingers stopped and when i opened my eyes it was just my room again.

Yes one morning I awoke to my alarm going off. I I rose up and there at the side of my bed was this dark figure. At first I thought it's dark and it's just my husband. Thinking he was going to the bathroom, I told him to wake me up when he got done if I fell back asleep so I laid back down and realized that my husband was still beside me in bed. I jerked back up but no one was there. It's easy to think that you dreaming it but I know I was not dreaming. I've got no ideal what it was there or if it was good or evil. Never saw it again.

I once woke up to two "people" standing over me while I was in bed. I was truly terrified. I closed my eyes, prayed and started screaming and they went away. I have not experienced anything like it since, nor do I want to.

I used to have one that visited me frequently. It used to sit on the end of my bed.
This happened on several occasions through my teenage and early adult years. It even survived a few moves with me.
It wasn't threatening but it made me feel uncomfortable. In the end I told and friend of mine who had experience of these matters. They told me to ask it to say what it wanted to or to go away and leave me in peace.
The next time it manifested I did just that, nothing happened and it has never appeared again to me.

YES , and it was not a pleasant experience. through research and conversations , i discovered that speaking DIRECTLY to the entity and telling it that you are aware of its presence will let it know that you are prepared for on-coming "events" , being on-guard , so to speak. I believe that any/all EVIL only works off personal fear. if you are aware of danger , you can pre-plan to defend. by alerting the presence of your awareness tells it you are a strong OPPONENT , it should go off to locate a weaker VICTIM!

All the time, his name is "Eddie",
he came with the house.
He's only a spirit.
You should be more worried about the living
causing you harm than the dead.
Sorry, Hon, but the dead can't harm you,
don't take the movies so seriously, it is only a movie.
Perhaps,
you should see a doctor about these delusions.
