how the astronout going back to earth?

if any objects enter the earth and passing thru the atmosphere will be terbakar..then how about the soyuz then?is it going to burn also?tell me how was it like going back to earth

The craft has a heat shield. Without a heat shield or if it is damaged then the structure will fail. Remember NASA's Columbia?
