It is absolutely amazing to me that Americans whether in New York, Los Angeles, or Corpus Cristi, would actually vote someone like that into office. I understand how certain people like Pelosi got where they are because of the ol boys club. But surely all these people in the US couldn't be dumb enough to put a person like Clinton or Obama or Kennedy into the Senate, let alone the White House, could they?

That is also true of McCain and Thomson. Somehow I am not surprised that he considers the experience necessary to be president is just the ones he has, and experience with dealing foreign governments, and working with legislatures is not on his list. I suppose we are lucky he did not add, being at the site WTC on 9/11 and seeing the disaster first hand. If he had we would have no choice but to vote for him.

This is true, but what I really care about is the ability to manage people. The president cannot be an expert on all things, consequently he or she must think as Bush says "strategically" while the departments must think tactically.
I think part of the brilliance of our political system lies in the process. Successfully completing a major campaign requires one to posess the types of management skills mentioned.

Rudy is full of hot air! I wouldn't believe him if he said it was October!
But, I don't want to see Hillary win the nomination because I think she is much too conservative and hungry for more war!
And I wouldn't want Rudy to be "in charge" of my safety and security--he might see a pretty woman passing by and forget all about his obligations--just like he did in his marriage (which is also an oath taken "under God".)

Well, let's see... Dubya' ran an oil company into the ground, ran a baseball team into the ground, turned Texas into the capital punishment capital of the USA and of course has ran the USA into the ground. Looks like he was perfectly qualified wasn't he...? Oh yeah, he ran his car into a tree up in Maine too while he was drunk...
Unlike Laura Bush, Hillary Clinton has always been involved in politics and was very active as First Lady.
Besides, she's going to put a lot of crooked cowboys in jail after she's elected and won't THAT be fun...!

All you have to say is, "Rudy recently said..." and they eyes glaze over and people yawn. He is no expert, except maybe in his diverse wardrobe selections. The process of candidates speaking, debating and answering questions is what Democrats and Republicans ARE doing. That is why people declare their candidacy in the pre-election period....so we can get to know them and their qualifications.

Yes, they should. Of course, she is not qualified !!
lol - funny how those who criticize Bush have obviously never read his biography. He was well qualified and very successful in practically everything he ever undertook.

I think everybody should ask that question to any person who is ready to run for President.
Myself, I think she is ready to lead this country.
