It just started happening all of the sudden and i think its due to some unshielded speakers I had next to it. Theres no discoloration around but its just static all over the screen. Any ideas on how to fix it. This flat panel has no degauss option and ive already tried the memory recall and auto adjust options.

There is no degauss option for flat panels as they do not use magnetic fields to produce the image like a CRT. Unshielded speakers will have no effect on the screen itself.

A very, very strong electric field might affect a flat panel, but it is unlikely.

More likely is that you have something putting noise onto the signal cable. If the cable is poorly shielded, or if you have wrapped it around your speakers then that might be the problem.

Make sure you cable runs are neat, power cables can be run together, but signal cables should be run individually.

Make sure all connections are secure and latched/screwed down where possible.

Make sure that everything is plugged into a single outlet, you can set up earth loops that create hum and noise otherwise.

You may have to buy a new cable that attaches to the computer and monitor. Or the monitor could be going out. LCD's don't last that long depending on use. However it could just be that cable.
