Success for me would mean having balance in 5 areas of my life. Physical, Mental, Social, Spiritual, and Economical.

Physically, I would like to maintain a healthy weight, and work out regularly, so as to prevent medical problems in my later years, and avoid the cancer that took my mother, and to be around and healthy for my (future) children.

Mentally, I would like to finish a bachelors degree, learn Spanish more so I am fluent, and read a book every month, so I can keep my mind fresh, and learning new things.

Socially, I want a happy marriage (im off to a great start!) and I want to rebuild the relationships with my family, mostly my 2 younger sisters, that kinda fizzled after the aforementioned death of my mother. I also want many friends in my life that support me.

Spiritually, I want to become and stay close to God, hold different leadership positions in my church, and continue to be a student of scripture.

Economically, I want my own business that makes enough money to live in a good neighborhood in a beautiful house with a pool, help my children through college, and start a non profit company that I can focus on when my children are grown.

These are my goals in the different areas of my life. If I had these and maintained these, and had a balance in all of them, I would consider my life successful. I am working on all these right now. I am still young (22), so I havent acheived those levels I want. But I am actively working on them!

Success is a byproduct of doing and becoming.

To me the definition of a successful life is any life that tryed to live.

I think alot can be said for the simplist of life that trys to live. I also think alot can be said for the complicated life that trys to live. But mostly what needs be said is that they tryed to live.

Any life lived is better then not having a life imo.

Living well, but on your terms. Not defining your life by other peoples ideas of what you should do. doing the things that make you happy and enjoying life to the fullest.

if i could spend the sunset of my life with the lady i madly love, that means success to me. if i can have peace of mind with or without money that is success to me. but then practically, money or financial security does not guarantee peace of mind. if i could see my children grow up in front of me then it means success to me. if i could be of help to someone even if that someone comes to me knocking on my door at midnight...that means success. if i can stand up for my morals even at gun point and stick to my ideals that's success. if i am content with whatever i have that's success to me. alas! am a human being.

for me successful life means that you already achieved what you want to be, you already have a stable life, and you already accepted god deep in your heart.
