It's with a z. I've never seen it with an s, plus the U.S. created globalization. So I'd have to say they get to decide how to spell it. Also I spell checked it and the "british" way was not there.

The Americans spell the word with 'z' while the British use 's'.

The more common spelling is with a 'z', but both are acceptable.

I would think that 'globalization' is the American English version, and 'globalisation' is the British English version.
