I've done A LOT of research on the presidential candidates for 2008, but I always end up confused! So please don't tell me I need to research it on my own. I've spent hours and hours on that, and I'm still confused. Biased articles, people changing there minds on things, it's hard to know WHAT to believe!

So here's a list of some issues & my views on them--

-health care- i think the government should do what they can to make quality healthcare available to those who wouldn't be able to afford it otherwise

-the war in iraq- i want it to end!

-gay marriage- i think same-sex couples should be able to obtain the same "legal status" (if that makes sense??) as heterosexual couples, WITH THE EXCEPTION of being able to adopt children

-the environment- i think we should be willing to spend money on protecting the environment

-abortion- i don't agree with it, but i don't think making it totally illegal is a good idea either. all i think we can really do is do our best to make other options available for these moms AND educate people about safe sex/abstinence

-humanitarian intervention abroad-i think helping other countries out is VERY important!!!!! so many people die of hunger and preventable diseases each day it's ridiculous.

-immigration- we need to do something about all these illegal immigrants getting into the US!! i don't think there's much we can do about the MILLIONS of illegal immigrants that are already here, but we need to do something to prevent it from happening as much!

-gun control- i think it should be very difficult to obtain a gun. VERY difficult. we need strict laws on this type of thing.

-public assistance- i know so many people who are able to work, but just choose not to, and receive public assistance (like welfare, and that thing you get when you claim you're not able to work because of an "injury" or sickness). it's really ridiculous. i also know a girl who got pregnant at 17, and now gets free college because of it! you make a mistake, you should pay for it. NOT just get hand-outs FOR her mistake!!!!!

Hillary Clinton as a Democratic carries most of your issues. She has the intelligence and experience to decide on critical issues.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will likely win.

Most of what you describe falls within the general Democrat agenda. Any of the Democrat frontrunners should appeal to you.
