It's been about a week and I need homeopathic remedies. Any herbs or tinctures that anyone knows about that will fade them? I am tired of looking at them. They don't hurt. I don't need pain relief, just need some help with getting rid of the discoloration.

Thanks in advance for the lack of lude comments!

I got DMSO because I heard about all it's alternative health practices and started screwing around with it.
At one point something very similar happened to my girl friends breasts, and I had a hunch that the anti inflammatory properties I'd read about might help her situation. Turns out it worked exteremly well, and the marks went away completely.
So, I thus recomend topically applying dmso.
If you decide to do that;
1)Make sure you use a fairly pure/food grade form.
2) Don't let any contaminents be present when you put it on (including having the skin clean).

Take extra Vitamin C, and B Complex for a few days (stay within healthy doses!). Apply warm moist heat pack or pads and take aspirin 2-3 x a day to help disperse the hematoma under the skin faster so it will fade. Don't use the heat for more than 15-20 mins. every 4 hours or so 4 x a day. If it is on a leg, elevate the leg while you have the heat pad on it. Soaking in a warm bath will also do the same thing. Also, if it is in the legs or arms, using those muscles more (walking is good as is lifting things with the arms) will help to disperse the hematoma and get it to filter out into the other tissues faster.

Is someone hitting you? You sound too worried if it were just a simple bruise. Talk to me if you want. But anyway, if your not, first sorry, and second, go to your doctor because there could be several reasons for this, and it could be solved. If you put a warm compress on it, that should help it go a little faster, but nothing really works that great to get rid of bruises, you just have to wait them out. All they are is blood rising to the surface when it gets hit, and I don't think you can really stop that,

You could also go in for Dr. Edward Bach's Flower
Remedy. CRAB APPLE would be most appropriate.
About this remedy the good doctor says:- It is the remedy
which helps us to get rid of anything we do not like
either in our minds or bodies. There is no potency as such
just ask for crab apple in pill form and take 4 pills every
4 hours and see the results. They are mostly available in
homeo pharmacy. Good luck and God Bless. Cheers! :o)

You could break open some vitamin E capsules and apply the oil on them.

Or you could just use olive oil, its got a lot of vitamin E in it.

I do that when i get particularly bad bruising from kung fu, it seems to work well.

(on a side note, i wouldnt touch aspirin with a ten foot pole, doesnt that rubbish contribute to alzheimer's? scary...)

SOOO, just use Nothing!! Apparently it works better!

(Besides, a homeopathic dilution of Arnica will be nothing more than just plain water anyway!)

Arnica cream or gel. It works very well. I prefer the gel. Find it at your health food store.
