Poll: How long until Runescape comes up with a Anti-Bot/macro in the game?

Question

I use to play that Maplestory game, and it was flooded with hackers. But soon after i started playing, they had some anti-hacker software into the game, and now their are NO HACKERS!

How long do you think it will be until Runescape comes up with something like this?

B:4-8 Months
C8-12 Months
D: A Year or more
E: More then a year

My answer is "none of the above". They will never get rid of all the macroers / bots. It just isn't possible for them to do this without totally re-vamping the game.

There are some steps they could take to reduce the problem, but they'll never completely eliminate it.

In many cases it's not in their interest to stop it. Suppose you've got a guy who pays 5 bucks a month to play, and he's macroing to get to 99 firemaking or cooking or something. You lose that money if you ban him. Why would you do that?

I think the ones they should be concerned about are the large scale money farmers. They could certainly do more than they are to deal with them. The ones I see chopping logs aren't even trying to hide the fact that they're bots. They're all lvl3 with default character appearance, and they always fail the random events. You see like 20 of them around a yew tree in the free world.

Zambrano can and has. Both Dempster and Lilly have come close. Right after Z pitched his, Dempster threw one into like the 7th or something. Lilly got close the next night too. Maybe in a few years Wells will have the skill and experience to throw a no hitter too. The kid's got chops. However, even though he is a great pitcher, I don't think Harden will throw a no hitter. He has the stuff but not the durability. He is rarely good for much more than 5 or 6 innings, let alone a whole game.

E - Runescape is such an insanely easy game to bot/macro in. No-lifers enjoy spending days upon days on figuring/creating more ways to cheat their way to the top while also getting around those "anti-bot/macro" features JaGeX, or just perfecting the ones they already have made.

I used to play RS since RSC (haven't played at all in like a year, so I'm not sure what JaGeX has done since I quit), and used bots/macros for ~3 months.

It was easy to do then, and the way I see it with games like Runescape, it's only going to get easier.

So far their only real attempts have been the random events like the golem, nature spirit, fishing trolls, smoking rocks & tool breakage which bots can't deal with. That was the whole purpose of the random events, to lock up &/or kill the bots.

they wont anything about this what they need to do is when you log on you have to put in a ramdom number like when you are registering for something if they had that it would be a good game then

Never it will becasue it would take more than 100,000,000,000,000,000 years to do it becasue thay got to work all the nasty graphics wihich will tanke 100 years.
