I think some are fake, and sometimes they have situations "set-up" but that doesnt neccessarily mean its fake. Like The Hills for example, I think Spencer was fake and was dating Heidi just to be on the show and Im pretty sure after they were together he was tipped off to certain things....like Jason and Lauren being at Ketchup and other things like that to cause more drama....Im pretty sure they have them re-enact situations.

Other shows....like the real world....no, but same thing with the re-enacting and planning things for them. Life with Ryan, that kids mom is waaay fake, and I think he can be as weel and a little attention hungry. Shows like Survivor and Big Brother, they are not scripted but in the editing room they manipulate a lot of whats going on, they have admitted this, they make it appear like they can hear someone talking about them or whatever when really that person wasnt even there at the same time.

I think a lot of the people on reality shows are fake and of course they edit it to be more interesting but its a good portrayal most of the time. So im 50/50...I still watch em.

I do think that sometimes they put people in these shows knowing that there personalities will conflict and cause drama which I know can make the shows but it can also break them. Also I think some shows may be slightly fixed in order to keep certain people in so they don't lose their main characters.

for the most part i imagine they are partly scripted the people in them are probably prompted on what to talk about and are intentionally put in situation that make more better drama.... i think maybe in the beginning like the first/second real world it was real but now alot of it is all casting and cutting 'good' footage together to entertain and get more of a laugh

I think they are fake. For one, if they say the guests are picked by random or draw that is completely fake.

Because obviously they would not have any introverts on the show (no offense.)

of course they are....for example they were talking about the hills in a magazine (in touch) where they were shooting shot after shot of lauren ordering food at a restraunt and they had to do it 5 times before they got it exactly how they wanted.
