You can't
you need someone lets lifts you up emotionally to fully feel and appreciate what true love is. There is no love if you don't have emotions together. How could you appreciate the depth and all the beauty of an ocean, if all you look at is a mud puddle.

You can't love them, at least not for very long, if they are sucking you dry emotionally. Tell your daughter that love is not toxic like that. Love isn't selfish like that. That when you love someone, it is a give-give relationship. We both give to each other because we want them to be happy. A relationship that is so one-sided, where one person does ALL the giving, only to be wrung dry emotionally, will never last. As hard as it would be, we need to let that person go from our life.

It depends, is this a romantic relationship? First of all, with any relationship it's give and take. That person has to be there for you as much as you're there for them. And people who suck you dry emotionally are not true friends. They are just looking for someone to complain to. Stay away from those kinds of relationships and spend some of that energy worrying about your own problems and not always theirs.

loves a b**tch.

It is so strong that at times it can outweigh the negative things, because all you remember is the amazing parts of it. Everyone wants love, and sometimes even wanting that bad means you will stick with someone who isn't necessarily emotionally healthy for you. Dont let other people suck you dry, your first love needs to be you and having someone like that in your life just doesnt work.

We can't help who we love! But a person can take a beautiful thing and just kill it! Hopefully some day soon the person who is that much live will wake up and realize that life can be better. Love is suppose to be a 2 way thing. If it is not they are missing out on what it is really suppose to be. Let it go and you will find god has something better in mind for you!

Depends on what emotion. If it's making her feel negative emotions she's got to understand that it's bad for her.

You really can't control who you fall in love with. Its either there or its not. Or perhaps "infatuation" or "like" is confused with "love."
