You might be suffering from Thrush. If you are unsure of what that is, google the symptoms, but generally it appears as a white thick substance. It's common (a woman is expected to experience it at least once in her lifetime), so don't worry. Just go to a chemist and ask for some appropriate cream (it even comes in capsules now). Give it a couple of days, and if that does not render the problem, consult your doctor before something serious eventuates.

I work in a GYN office and would have to say it is a yeast infection however you do not want to treat it with over the counter medications unless you have been diagnosed with the same symptoms before as it could very well be something else like bacterial vaginitus which has many of the same symptoms.

The discharge is normal for women. I am un sure about the odor though. Maybe you need to start douching. Not alot!!!! Once a month...Or wear pantyliners. What I do is stick my finger up there and swab all of it out every morning and everynight when I take a shower. But the best thing to do to see a gyn. Maybe have a pap smear done also.

some discharge is natural because your vagina cleans itself that way. However, if there is a foul odor that is strong you could have a yeast infection. You could A) go to the gynecologist and get some Diflucan (a one-time pill you take), or B) go to the store and buy some over the counter yeast infection medication.

YEAST INFECTIONS ITCH REALLY BAD. DO YOU ITCH? THIS COULD BE AN INFECTION DUE TO THE ODOR. GO TO A FAMILY PLANNING CLINIC, SOME ARE FREE, OR LOW COST. YOU CAN FIND THEM IN THE YELLOW PAGES, ONLINE, OR ASK YOUR SCHOOL NURSE WHERE YOU SHOULD GO. IF YOU USE TAMPONS, SOME TIMES THEY CAN CAUSE NFECTIONS. A MEDICATED DOUCHE MIGHT HELP, OR MAKE IT WORSE BY FORCING THE INFECTION DEEPER. BE ON THE SAFE SIDE, AND SEE YOUR SCHOOL NURSE, OR A CLINIC. BEST YET TALK TO YOUR MOM, OR OLDER SISTER. INFECTIONS CAN CAUSE A LOT OF PROBLEMS FOR YOU IN THE FUTURE. YOU DON'T WANT KIDS NOW, BUT YOU DO SOME DAY. BESIDES YOU ALSO COULD OF GOTTEN AN STD FROM BORROWING PANTS, SHORTS, SWIM SUIT ETC FROM A FRIEND. IF YOUR FRIEND HAD AN STD WITH THE SAME DRAINAGE AS YOURS DOES, IT COULD OF ENTERED YOU VAGINALY. THAT IS IF THE DRAINAGE WAS FRESH, IT DOESN'T TAKE MUCH DRAINAGE TO CAUSE YOU THE SAME PROBLEM.

IF YOU CAN'T GO TO A GYNECOLOGIST, YOU HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE BECAUSE A THICK WHITE DISCHARGE THAT SMELLS COULD BE ONE OF SEVERAL THINGS -- ALL NOT TO BE TAKEN LIGHTLY.
How about going to an Urgent Care Center or Immediate Care facility ?
If money is an issue, call around to clinics that give free or income-based care.
Try searching the net for clinics in your area. Call them and tell them your "different issues". Someone will point you in the right direction.
If none of this helps, post another question to us.

You need to go see a doc as you have an infection most likely. You do NOT NEED TO SEE A GYN. Your regular doc can handle this for you. If you don't get it checked and treated it could lead to pelvic inflammatory disease which would put you in the hospital and possibly leave you sterile. Better to get it taken care of now before things get worse. You cannot treat this yourself without knowing what it is.

It sounds like a yeast infection but it could be bacterial. Without a proper visit to the doctor you'll will never be sure. White Cotton underwear, changing them often throughout the day may help, stay away from thongs and cutsie colors. Unfortunately, the problem will not simply go away and you may risk your future fertility by not getting proper treatment.
