I read the books on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and also on the life of Malcolm X. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. wanted us (Americans) to live together in brotherhood, and that we all have equal rights, no matter your color, religion, and etc,
Malcolm x who was Black Muslim believed that White Americans no matter what, would not accept blacks, and believed that as descendants of slaves, we should have our own state, our own business and buy from only them, and be apart from Whites. Later in his life when he left the leadership of Elijah Muhummad, Malcolm went on a pilgrimage to Mecca, and learned from the muslims there, and met some white muslims. He found that whites are not all the same. He later changed his views, but still believed blacks should be self sufficent, relying on each other.

Martin Luther King Jr. wanted no segregation and everyone to co-exist peacefully, Malcolm X wanted to beat or kill anyone who didn't follow him. Reverend King was the better man in my opinion.
