Esentially, what I'm trying to do is run a signal from my DVI port on my MacBook Pro out to two smaller CRT television screens for a Karaoke setup.

I'd like to show one CRT to the audience, one to the singer (both with the same "external monitor display" content) and keep the laptop screen facing me (with the software viewing only for me).

Is there a cable or collection of cables I can get?

I think I need a DVI to Composite, then a set of Composite splitters... but am I right?

(Thanks to Rider_66 for his suggestion of a DVI splitter, but the output is only CDG lyric displays - ie very low quality to begin with, so I really don't need more than 640x480 as an output)

You can not do this with cables. The signals on the cables are totally incompatible.

If you have a DVI-I output then you need a DVI-A to VGA adapter (or cable) and a VGA to composite converter box. You then need a composite split (I am not sure about the impedance matching on this, you might get away with just a cable.) and cables to each TV.

If you have a DVI-D output only then you will need a box that will convert the DVI-D digital RGB signal to a composite modulated Y/C signal.

It would be very difficult to hook your laptop to 2 standard CRT type televisions. The resolution on a TV is no where near as good as a computer's. Your best bet would be to aquire 2 flat panel monitors and simply get a DVI splitter which you can find at Radio Shack. They are a little pricey though. http://www.radioshack.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=dvi%20splitter&origkw=DVI%20splitter&sr=1

you in basic terms opt for a DVI or HDMI distribution AMP. those units enable you to distribute one signal to different reflects. they are very expensive regardless of the truth that. some producer's comprise Gefen, Audio Authority etc. carry out somewhat searches.
