What VP candidate would help Hillary win red states?

None of the current potential VP candidates. There's a few that might win one state for her, but nothing beyond that.

Any one of a dozen right wing radio guys would fit the bill. The more rabid a right winger she can get the better. It would have to be someone on record as approving no-warrant snooping and arrests, torture, no charge imprisonment and possibly summary execution of anyone that the president deemed an enemy combatant. As these right wing talk show hosts are all in favor of these Constitution busting ideas anyone of them would be a good choice. As the US is now used to the idea of a vice president with more actual power than the president the right wing radio host of choice could easily set the agenda and President Clinton 2 would, with class and grace, go along with the program. The 'wingers are convinced that Sen. Clinton will do anything to get elected and once elected do anything to make herself look good no matter what. What's in it for Clinton? Basically she would be president and she' be happy to let someone like G. Gordon Liddy, or Rush Limbough or Lars Larson or Hannity or O'Reily or Savage or my personal favorite, Mark (Foam at the Mouth) LaVine do all the heavy lifting of completing the task of bringing a true fascisti government to the US. If we are to believe what the right wing talk show guys say, Sen. Clinton is a 'communist' which they've repeated several times is the same a Nazi (National 'Socialist...get it?) which is the same a fascist you can see how the logic of this circle is closed. As the 'red' states are supposedly heavy into this forever war in the middle east (not about oil of course) and the war against the middle class, it seems that a lot of ditto-heads in these states would go for a ticket like that. Wadda' 'ya think?

Hillary does not need to win the deep red states. She needs to win the purplish-red states. The target states for both parties in this election will be Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, Kansas, Arkansas, North Carolina, Montana, Tennessee, Virginia, and New Hampshire.

Bill Richardson would help in some of those states, but everyone would rather that he drop out now and run for Senate.

Other strong Democratic Governors who might help put their own and neighboring states into the Democratic column would include former Governor Vlisick of Iowa, Governor Easley of North Carolina, Governor Kaine of Virginia, Governor Bredesen of Tennessee, Governor Schweitzer of Montana, Governor Freudenthal of Wyoming, and Governor Strickland of Ohio.

I'm from the red state of Texas. I'm teling you, it's not going to happen for her. We just aren't socialists down here, plain and simple. Forget it, 'move on' to California and the rest of the west coast and the Northeast, and you just hope it's enough to get her by.
