In my opinion, I think PS3 is better than XBOX 360 because it has more hardware features and better graphics (PS3 has a 60 FPS rate while XBOX 360 has about 40 FPS rate) even though it doesn't have that many good games at the moment right now, all the good games will be released very soon next year. speaking of the games, PS3 is backwards capatible with both all PSONE and PS2 games and it has a power new CELL processor which allows you to run tons of stuff at once while you're playing the games are watching the movies on it while XBOX LIVE has some of the same stuff but you have to buy an HD adaptor to watch movies on it, plus PS3's online services are FREE while you have to pay to use XBOX live. and I know the price on the PS3 is alittle high (about $399.99 for the 40 GB and 599.99 for the 80 GB) but trust me, it's well worth it with all those cool features, great upcoming games, cool content, and free online services.

360 hands down. PS3 can't touch the online services, exclusive games, and extensive developer support 360 has. You get four choices of 360 as well: Core (don't get it), Regular (sure, get it if you want), Halo 3 Special Edition (meh), and Elite (yes, yes, yes get this one). What's $50 a year for the ridiculous amount of features you get for Xbox Live? Get PS3 if you want a high priced, overblown, feature-depraved, game-less, paper weight that costs upwards of $600. In fact, only the 80GB model is slated to remain in stores in the US by the end of this month. Ask yourself if you've heard of any games that are coming exclusively to PS3 that are not also coming to the 360. Your pick, I'm a huge Xbox fan and I'm obviously throwing a lot of personal bias into this, but it is true that 360 is better.

Xbox has more games right now, but PS3 is getting most of the same ones: Assassin's Creed Kane & Lynch, and since EA just bought BioWare, I wouldn't be surprised if it sees a Mass Effect port. Its also getting Metal Gear 4 and GTA 4 next year. As well as Final Fantasy XIII still being exclusive

Xbox on the other hand is slightly cheaper until the 40GB PS3 is out on November 2nd. And has a better Online system.

ok they both rock so lets take a look
xbox 360
is cheaper $300-400
it has more games and better online gaming
it has halo 3 and quite frankly thats all u need
ps3
has free online gaming (its not as good but hell its free)
ps3 exclusives like metal gear 4, rachet and clank and Final fantasy 13 make it totally worth $500-600
ps3 has SIXAXIS controllers which allows motion sensory control ( like the wii but not nearly as good)

well i own both and i think the ps3 is better but i play 360 more ( halo 3 is just to fun)

i would go with the x-box 360, obviously because of the price of the ps3, but if you have an extra $200 sitting around, i would get the ps3.

i would stay away from xbox360, it's having lots of hardware failure problems, just google red ring of death, you'll see.
the ps3's hardware failure rate is less than 1%, while the 360's failure rate is at 33%.
