How long will it be until my Platy baby fish are big enough to not be eaten?

We have a divider up but it is harder to clean their size of the aquarium. The daddy platy already figured out how to get to their side of the tank that little stinker!

If you have plants in your tank, you can let them be together
I haven't experienced my platies eating their fry

But the general rule is, when they're bigger then the biggest fish mouth
