No, but will be remembered among the better teams in history. The best team in history was the 1927 Yankees, if they were playing today they would have went 162-0, in regular season, plus 11-0 in post season.

It would be remembered as the "best postseason output" in recent history, but people forget to put sports (especially baseball) in context: the Rockies were a wild card team in National League where the hitting isn't as good and pitchers get to hit (which isn't a GUARANTEED out but chances are up greatly). Baseball relies SO MUCH on momentum, if you get hot at the right moment, then nobody can stop you but a team can go cold very quickly. The 8 day layoff might hurt them.
This team wouldn't be "THE BEST EVER" because you have to look at the whole package: the playoff and the season itself. I mean, Seattle's 2001 with 116 wins....that's ridiculous...and 1998 with the Yankees and many other Yankees teams I can mention but it'd take too long.

Even if they go 11-0 in the post-season, they will not, nor do they deserve to be in any discussion of the best team ever. What they would deserve is a ton of credit and an acknowledgment as having the one of the most remarkable hot streaks in baseball history.

Probably! They just barely even made into the post season. If they hadn't won 14 out of their last 15 regular season games and won the 1 game series between the padres they would not have even had to chance. Then for them to sweep both series. Wow, it is impressive because their pitching isn't good at all, but their bats are pulling the weight and its working.

Probably not, if they go 11-0, they will be considered a good team that rode a huge hot streak. I agree with the 76 Reds being the best ever.

They need to switch names with the Angels because they must be in the outfield how can you explain such a streak? By the way don't forget what the Indians are doing to the Major League's Giants (Yankee's and the Red Socks) I think this unbelievable also.

They'd be considered the best in my book! How can any team (not just the Rockies) be considered the best after sweeping their way through the postseason?! This would DEFINITELY give the Rockies all of the credit they've deserved!
GO ROCKIES!!!!

Hold your horses, my friend. Though they have an impressive streak going, they will still have to test their metal against an AL team. I don't see them sweeping a world series, especially when they have to play in AL park with AL rules. Your streak is currently NL teams only.

No, they won't be the best ever, but will end the season on the hottest streak ever.
As much as I hate to say it, the best ever may have been the 1976 Reds. Close would be the 1972-1974 Athletics.

Hey, jracer524. What did the Yankees do in 1998? Did they go 11-0 in the postseason? If I remember correctly, they lost twice to the Indians! Am I mistaken? If not, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT???
