3/4(8x-20) is 6x-15.

Plugging that in . . .
6x-15 = -6x+12 (since 6x-12x=-6x)
Adding 6x to both sides . . .
12x-15=12
Adding 15 to both sides . . .
12x=27
Dividing both sides by 12 . . .
x = 27/12
Simplifying . . .
x = 2 1/4

3/4(8x - 20) = 6x + 12 - 12x
6x - 15 = -6x + 12
+6x +6x
12x - 15 = 12
+15 +15
12x = 27
12/12x = 27/12
x = 9/4

I think that should be right... I'm not sure
Lemme check it

3/4(8x - 20) = 6x + 12 - 12x
3/4(8(9/4) - 20) = 6(9/4) + 12 - 12(9/4)
3/4(18 - 20) = 27/2 + 12 - 27
3/4(-2) = 27/2 - 15
-3/2 = 27/2 - 30/2
-3/2 = -3/2

Yeah, it's right... The answer is 9/2 (not -3/2)

well im not gonna do it for you but first you have to clear the denominator by multiplying everything by 4. then use the distributive property for the first expression and the rest is using the multiplication and addition properties of equality
