You must be a legal resident of the U.S., have a valid driver's license, have a valid address, not be a felon, not use marijuana, and answer all the questions on the form truthfully. No, it is not any easier in a pawn shop as they are still legal and refuse to sell if you don't fill out all of the paperwork.

You also need a "clean record" as the FBI will have to perform a "background check" on you as you wait for your purchase to be approved (normally less than an hour). This means you can not have any convictions or pending charges for domestic violence against you as well.

Pawn shops must adhere to the same Federal Laws regarding the sale of firearms as any other gun shop is required to do.

To buy one at the store all you need is an i.d. and some money!! Or you can buy a throw away off the streets pretty cheap!!
