Start screaming, I just love loud piercing sounds,
right before I sneak in to steal your spirit
and relax the shell that it has been occupying.
Screaming is just like music to my ears.
You mortals all seem to have the same outlook or idea,
"Hey, I'm too young to die. I'll know when Death comes for me."
Actually, you never know when death comes for you.
It's sort of like fog,
we just drift in with the air currents
and if it's your time, then, Poof, your a goner.
Oh, well, too bad...So sad.

Actually, I'm only doing the Death thing for a friend.
I'll be back to my old witchy self
around November 22nd,
I'm planning a large reincarnation party for that day.
I chose a witch avatar because I am a practicing Pagan
and I didn't see one of a ball of energy,
so I just did the cartoon avatar.
I tried to design one as close
as possible to suit my personality.
But this Grim Reaper bit is just for a short time.
I couldn't see putting up my true pic,
Witness Protection kind of frowns on that,
since they have worked so hard in protecting me.

I can honestly say I don't look a thing like my avatar. I'm much thinner....:)

I used to be on a forum site years ago that had some wiccan members and such. The site was called "The Manor House" and it was never overtly required, but there seemed to be a theme of role play involved. I chose the user name "Cthulu" in honor of H.P. Lovecraft, one of my favorites, and scoured the web to find some bone chilling avatar pics.... I selected these two, (the reaper and the other screaming skull I have used recently) and one other that I've long since lost. I became the "caretaker" of the Manor House, and we used to have a lot of fun in there debating modern topics and swapping bad ghost stories. (and no I'm not wiccan myself, but when in Rome....)
I figured I'd use these avatars only in honor of Halloween and then, GASP!, I may post my real pic. I'll call it an unveiling of sorts. Be ready to run screaming on that day! Mwaaaa haaaa haaaa!

This avatar was not my first choice. I still cannot for the life of me figure out how to upload images for an avatar, despite several emails to yahoo, which indicates it is "still working through the issue sir."

I like the hood because it sorta reminds me of Obi Wan and that ridiculous police-sketch of the Unabomber. I always liked Obi Wan because he is an archetype of wisdom. As for the unabomber - don't worry I'm not Theodore Kaczynski or a fan. It's just that I always get cracked up thinking about that absurd sketch that looked like half the people in Berkeley and nothing like the actual unabomber. Like they were gonna catch the guy with that sketch. "Hey, you with the hood on, mustache, and sunglasses - you're the unabomber ! Come ovahere!" That, plus my coven made me. Jes' kiddin.

NOTE: this avatar shall change so prepare yerself (once I figure out how)

I used to have an avatar of an Indian maiden because it reflected my heritage I go tired of it and since I like the song BUTTERFLY KISSES and also like ladybugs, I combined the two. The cute ladybug drawing I found on line while looking for ladybug pix. Also there used to be a saying when I was a child that if a ladybug landed on you then you had been kissed by that ladybug and good luck would follow.

♥ Idk Silva.... i think mine looks exactly like......... ROFL.
I actually had one of those avatars for the first few months. LOL i liked it okay. But then i wanted to do something a little different that more or less was telling of my personality. Not being able to find something that idiotic and out there LOL, i decided to use a drawing i did. ( i never use a real photo of me! you never know who's out there! LOL) So I fiddled around with a few different pics, and then chose this one. I like it okay. I was thinking of changing it in a few days, but haven't found anything i like better so far.
♥♥

I didn't. Nature made me that way, my son took the picture. Snapped the picture on his cell phone unexpectedly, accounting for the scowl. I didn't pick those eyes, those lips, those gray hairs, and didn't even pick that nose, because Mama always taught me not to when anybody was looking!

(I'm just having fun. My attempts at sprightly humor sometime create the impression of a smart aleck, which I hope is a false impression. Please don't take offense at my smart mouth. In oral speech it stutters pretty bad, a handicap that made Demosthenes an orator (by overcoming it) and made me a writer (by not overcoming it).

The fear of coming across wrong is well-based. I've already had to apologize to people on line who took my words at face value and didn't know I was just trying to amuse myself and others. I am not making fun of your question, just my self.

I agree with Ghandi, that the ego (a big thing with some of us) is sometimes ludricous.

"I saw myself in a mirror today and laughed," he said once-- or something like it, "because sometimes I forget what a funny-looking little man I am."

I picked that avatar, I guess, because it reminds me of Gandhi's humility, a condition I deserve far more richly than the great Indian statesman whose strong point was action, not words.

I'd like to have a picture of Ghandi as my avatar, because sometimes I daydream of being like him, but am scarcely more worthy to use his picture there than I am to use Jesus'!

Blessings, friend.

I say, ahhhh.... I like Foghorn Leghorn's style and his patience with little Henery the chicken hawk. I also like how he beats up on the dog (and gets it back in spades). I was going to use Bugs Bunny, but I think Foghorn has a tad more devilishness... like me.
