TheatreDoc, the character you've just described was Renfield, Dracula's servant and agent. Jonathan Harker was the young solicitor employed by the Count to obtain an estate in England. Anyways, if you're going to be Jonathan Harker, you have to act real nervous, tense, high-strung.... Remember, the Count trapped him in the castle, while he went to London via a ship (the Demeter). Plus, do a British accent, if you can.

You'll need to find out who is holding auditions for Dracula to start with.
You've obviously been studying the character, so you know best what you, specifically, can bring to that role.
Are you participating in drama classes or local theater? Talking with your acting coaches will definitely help you define how you can make that role your own.

Rent the Bela Lugosi movie, Dracula, and watch how the actor played it! Just let yourself be the character by reacting with the lines to the stimuli that makes him say them, he is completely insane, of course, not quite a vampire and not quite human. What a great role. Tryout with much energy and fun!

Just don't do what Keanu Reeves did in "Dracula"! Thats a start. Harker is strong, but does get overwhelmed with the mystreria of it all before his resolve kicks in!
