GAS PRICES!! I'm sick of the price gouging going on at the gas stations! And now I read that heating costs are going to be even higher this winter! How much more are we supposed to take of this crap??!! Where are we supposed to come up with the extra money? I keep the heat down as far as I can in the winter, without letting the pipes freeze, and still get outrageous bills. What gives???? There, I do feel a little better. (A little)

So called "customer service". It's not. It's a dis-service.
I hate calling someone up and having to push a lot of buttons, which don't even come close to what you want. Push 1 for hours, 2 for Spanish, 3 for billing, 4 for location, 5 to go crazy, 0 to talk to an agent. What about talking to a
human? You are put on hold interminably, and then have to listen to that annoying taped music which is always too loud, then you're told that the call is being monitored for something called "quality control" whatever that is, and that your call is "very important" to them. If it's that important, why don't they connect you? When you do finally get a human, you can hardly understand them because they are in India. Then they ask a lot of questions which have nothing to do with why you're calling. Give me the days when a human actually
answered the phone, was polite and really helped you.
I give up.

Ok!
I get an order in for a hand painted shirt that a client wants.
Get it all figured out, what type of critter my client wants, what it should be doing, & colors etc., then my landlord comes around.
He starts telling me that he would do it differently & why.
Bear in mind - He has no art talent, never studied critter from around the world, & thinks EVERYTHING should be done his way.
My usual comment is: Are you paying for the shirt? If not, then you have no say in the matter. At this point he usually has a come back & you know what rolls down hill from there. Every time I hear him near my work area now, I cover my work. It reallu pi**es me off.

I am tired of being to damn dumb to put air in my car tires and do it correctly. I can do all the other junk, oil, tx fluid, window washer, brake fluid but not air---hot or cold air. My daughter manages an auto parts store and has all the certs to do so and a huge air compressor at her home. Every time I go over she grimaces at me and puts air in my tires. They are getting old but the tread is not worn down--will have to replace in the spring. Now is time to struggle with the cash for insurance, new tags and registration and a new license. All due in the same month of course. Also had 5 months of employment last year and the dirt cleaned my clock--paid me minimum wage after telling me 7 an hour and then did withholding and never paid anything in and sold the biz -- so I ended up making less than 4 an hour for caring for 8 mental patients in a group home--I worked 40 hours in 3 days. I would have gotten back what I paid in now it has just zoned to the pocket of the a hole. That's all I can think of at 4 am --aren't ya glad! Ha!

the current Presidency, the climate in the this country that's gone to crap ever since, the prices of everything, the war in Iraq, "entertainment news" (what happened to just reading us the latest news and giving us the damn weather???), screwing up the national anthem, unnecessarily rude and mean people, and people who are just too damn cheery!
Actually I've already been up the wall, on the ceiling and now I'm back down and now I'm feeling pretty ok these days. When you give up hope you feel SO MUCH BETTER!!! :O)))

OK, Mountaingirl, you asked for it. That stupid and frustrating thing they call "clam packaging"! And bless your heart for letting me have this little rant!
My hand is still very weak from the surgery and I can't open a lot of things. Got the bright idea today to go and get myself one of those new can openers, the ones that you put on top of the can and it just goes around and opens it. Thought it would be the answer to my little problem.
Does it work? Who the heck knows, because I got home and found that I don't have the strength to open the ****package! It's sitting on the counter and will stay there till "George" gets back from his trip tomorrow and wrestles it out for me.
Clam packaging...whose bright idea was that anyway??? Couldn't have been a woman's, that's for sure!
I'm done....rant's over and it's out of my system. Now I'll sleep better.....thanks! :)

Mountain gal, I love your sense of humour. Since you asked, it really irritates me that now the Cdn dollar is on parity with the US , our prices for everything is still more than in the US . Gas, groceries, everything. Cdns are crossing the border in record numbers just to shop. This used to happen in the 50's. Meanwhile our farmers are selling up to developers for more housing. They are being offered prices they can't refuse . We may have to start growing our food in the future under grow lights.

Right now, my flatmate. My side is sore, and I wanted him to help put more water on the mound of earth. The other one has gone out of town to visit his family for three weeks. We are not allowed to use hoses, so have to do all our watering with a bucket. Could not get the Council today, but see that grass is s l o w l y growing through. So we have just had a big fight. And guess what I received this morning. two as well. You know like the colour violet! Thanks girl.

Wow, I feel totally left out, I have no major complaints. OK well, here is the only one I can think of, every time there is an emergency at my friends house, it is usually when I am already asleep and end up going to the hospital in a bathrobe.
There is never an emergency when I am dressed, it is always at about 2 Am, I can run to her house there faster than drive over there and there is no time to get dressed. I am beginning to think the hospital thinks I have no clothes to wear
