fix-a-flat should be the last thing you do.

the spray will not explode, LOL.. that was the funniest thing I have ever read, haha.

the fix-a-flat should only be used to travel short distances because the spray actually wears out the inside bead of the tire that would make it unfixable. Some shops will usually tell you not to use it, but then they can still patch up the tire afterwards sometimes, but not all the time.

Definately! It's actually supposed to be used for tires that aren't totally flat. It's a quick fix solution until you can get your car in for a new tire.

Fix a flat works best if you have a tire that's a little flat, like from a small leak. You'll need to drive it for a few minutes after spraying it into yoru tire though. That will help the chemical dispurse throughout the tire, instead of settling in on one spot. Make sure though, if you have a large leak in your tire, you'll need to get it fixed as soon as possible. The spray is only a temp. fix. Now, if it's a small, slow leak you have, you can get away with using the fix a flat for a few months if you're careful about it.

Your wheel may be deformed (the tyre goes over the wheel). Tire, whatever, thought you were Brit, using km... (must be a Canadian) The tire won't seal properly if it is too bad. Tire MIGHT have damage as well. If damage sufficient, sprays for seal or sealing damages are at best a very temporary expedient. Going over curb like that bad for ANY car, far worse for smaller ones, espeically those with smaller tires. Front end alignment and check for damages highly indicated. This work now rising to EXTREME importance category in relation to budget constraints. Rebalance tires at same time. Sorry. Patience is a better virtue than speed. For now, try some flat fixer spray. But remember, you need the rest checked very soon, could avoid some terrible event at higher speed....

NEVER, AND I REPEAT NEVER, USE FIX A FLAT. MOST HONORABLE MECHANICS WOULD REFUSE THAT JOB, BASED UPON THE FACT THAT IT IS AN AEROSOL SPRAY, AND IF SPARKED, WILL IGNITE AND BLOW THE TIRE UP. THAT PRODUCT IS HARMFUL. GET A FLAT... TAKE THE FOLLOWING STEPS:

(1) Jack the car up and take the tire off
(2) Replace the flat with the temporary spare
(3) Take flat tire to local garage to be plugged (can only do this once)
(4) Replace temporary spare with fixed and properly inflated tire.

LET'S STOP PUTTING SECONDARY PRODUCTS IN TO PREVENT PAYING 15-20 BUCKS FOR TIRE REPAIR. IT'S BETTER THEN BLOWING UP YOUR LOCAL MECHANINC WHEN YOU DO GET THE TIRE FIXED.

Fix It Flat

Just put air into the tire and then have it repaired. Fix-a-Flat causes a mess in the tire and sometimes leads to an out of balance condition.

yes, just make sure you drive it for about 15 minutes afterwards so it doesn't glop into one place.
Also, you may just want to get a patch from your garage for about 7 bucks - it will take care of the problem if it's a slow leak from a nail and a can of fix-a-flat is about 4. Good luck.

Absolutely. Just make sure you drive the car immediately after you fix it. Most of the time that's all it takes and I would certainly get the tire fixed at your earliest convenience.

Sure but Im not sure they can repair it if you do that. A repair is only around ten bucks if you have any tread on the tire. If you dont they wolnt repair it.
