My kids wore shoes from the time they was 6 months old. I thought they looked odd without them on!!
Is she kicking them off?? If so put them on when she is asleep. I used to do it to the boys, now they line up to get their shoes on.
You could always try going to a shoe shop and getting them to measure her feet. I used to go to our local shop and get the boys shoes. It doesn't cost anymore, they usually do it for free. Their shoes can be very expensive though. I used to get them measured, then say I left my wallet in the car LOL! Then go to Target or Big W and buy the cheaper shoes!
Big W has a great range if she has wide feet like my boys.
I really didn't see the sense in spending $50 on 1 pair of shoes for them. It isn't like they can share them.
PS I usually share my kids shoes with my mothers group, do you guys do that? Too bloody expensive to throw away.

Most of the time my son goes outside without shoes. Even running to the store he sits in the cart most of the time. (too hard letting a 17 month old and a 4 year old run while pushing a cart) The only time I put shoes on him is if I know he'll be walking on the road or someone other than outside the house.

I never bothered putting shoes on my daughter when she was little, before walking.
I remember the first pair of shoes, my mum bought her them and they were a size 4.
She is now 11 years old and wears a ladies 8!!
Maybe her feet grew so much because they were never in shoes!!!!

I never bothered much except when I wanted them really dressed up for a special occasion or pictures. It is too much aggravation and I ended up losing shoes along the way. Now when they start walking, shoes are good, especially walking shoes!

Same thing happened when my son was a baby. He was so friggin active that he couldnt keep his shoes on for 2 minutes. He started walking/climbing at 9.5 months so I just gave up and let him walk in socks or bare feet.
My daughter was more of a lazy a$$ but after losing so many of my son's shoes, I didnt really bother putting botties on her until she started walking.

My daughter started wearing shoes when she started walking. I think that's your best bet. Also, for the first pair, maybe you could take her to a store where they can measure her feet. She'll like the attention, make her feel special, and maybe she'll be proud of her new shoes.

I didn't worry about shoes because I had the same problem. Just make sure she has socks on and ignore the old ladies who are always asking where her shoes are!

I don't understand why someone not walking would need shoes. Stockings, yes. Warn toes are nice. Shoes are so restrictive and numbing. Are you one of those people who never go barefoot and feel the wonderous soil with your toes.
Barefootin' rules.
