i think yes, if you say no search for it on google and you will find out that no one has ever overdosed or died from marijuana.Marijuana dose not have any addictive tendencies such as cigarettes. Marijuana dose not kill brain cells like tobacco. There is not a single health risk associated with marijuana. Also many people us it as a pain killer. Marijuana is associated with more arrests than anything else including murders. Many law abiding, tax paying, family oriented citizens use marijuana and many fathers are taken away form their children and families. One reason it is illegal it is illegal is because back when farmers needed land for cotton they blamed marijuana growers.

There is an extremely larg misconception out there that marijuana is bad. The government has done a good job of brainwashing people from a young age that it is bad for you. The truth is there is no real reason for it being illegal. Smoking weed doesn't make you stupid, just a lot of dumb people smoke it. Marijuana is not physically additcing although it certainly can be mentally addicting. Alcohol though is both. A lot of crime in this country would have never taken place is marijuana was legal either. Marijuana being illegal makes for the under ground market of it. I think if people could just grow marijuana in thier yard and smoke freely that it would be suffice and they would not want to get into any destructive drugs like coke, heroine, alcohol, and ectasy.

Yes I do believe it should be made legal and the myth my dear, about brain cells being fried is only true in the sense of folks that use LACED marijuana not regular marijuana but with any drug, if you misuse it, then you can become what you deem "a pothead"

Marijuana is a natural plant that has calming properties when used. It has other medical uses in those with glaucoma, etc. I believe that a larger use could be for those with certain anxiety disorders or mental illness, though not all types.

I do not know why a natural plant that requires nothing but what mother nature provides, should be illegal.

Now for the smart butt that is going to say ... What about opium plants, well with opium you have to go through a lot of different processes to make it opium that you use. With marijuana you just pick it, dry it and smoke it, not fancy processes which is why I believe it is a natural drug.

Certainly, for medical treatments of patients unable to take other sources of medicine for different ailments! Medical Marijuana should be grown, bagged and dispensed by the local drug stores for individual's with a doctor's prescription and instructions on the label to get the most effectiveness! All the hub-bub about to many people wanting Marijuana just to get high is bunk....Pot Smoking went out the window with Woodstock at Bethel, New York in 1969 at Max Yasgur's Dairy Farm! Weed has been blown way out of proportion concerning it's illegal use! Heroin, Meth and all that other man-made crap is what has this nation's people all messed up and higher than a kite! America has been watching those Helter-Skelter movies to long! Medical Marijuana belongs to those in need of it! Booze and drunk drivers kill how many each year? Get real, marijuana should be allowed for medical purposes!

Alot of the laws are old and had to do with keeping minorities down in the south as well. I think if you leagalized and taxed marjiuana it would help decrease the deficit and lower non violent jail population as well.

of course it should be legal. throwing people behind bars for smoking a weed is ludicrous, proposerous, nazi-ish, and it pisses all over freedom. i know many people who smoke pot, but i don't even know one person who does harder drugs as well. the notion that it's a gateway drug that will lead straight down the hellish path of hard drugs is ridiculous. and i know it's not addictive either, people just smoke it because they like it.
