Derivative of cos^2 is 2cos theta times(-sin theta) which is equivalent to -2cos x sin x.
Derivative of (1+cos 2x) =0+ (-sin 2x)(2)=-2sin 2x.

dy/dθ = - sin 2θ

y = 1 + cos 2 θ
dy/dθ = ( - sin 2 θ )( 2 )
dy/dθ = - 2 sin 2 θ
