Yea, there's definitely a double standard there.
Just look at Dave Chappelle and Carlos Mencia. They can both rip on any race: black, white, hispanic etc., with no consequences. Yet if a white comedian had an act like theirs, they'd be out of a job and called a racist!

Reason: White people for the most part formed this nation to be what it is today! The U.S. Constitution signers were all white people. To kind of pretend other races had a big part in being part of the Founding Fathers, thus making them feel more to home in the U.S. and making it where they will feel more secure about themselves and want to become part of this nation, today! Minorities did not have the opportunities then as today, course neither do poor white people, especially males as they get blamed for all the past racism, which those here today had absolutely nothing to do with what happened in the past! Being white and proud, smacks of being a skin-head Nazi or atleast someone will say it does! Course sayings like White is right and Black to the back, just further causes trouble of which we do not need as a unified people with a cause. Let's face it, no one is better than anyone else....there are good and bad in all races! Men and women of all colors have furthered the cause of this nation together. Franklin D. Roosevelt & Martin Luther King were two great leaders concerning furthering the well-being of all American's!

Because white pride has been wrongly portrayed since the beggining of society. *Royals were more beautifull if they were super white, blonde and blue eyed, they would go to crazy lenghts to go one shade whiter like bleaching with chemicals and using white powder on their arms to make their veins look blue and have 'blue-blood'. *The lovely KKK. This people were ovbiously proud of being white, that's no crime, the crime was what they were doing to the other races. *The Aryan Nation. Adolf Hitler wanted to create the perfect race, blonde, white and blue eyed, but he was fince with people just being white. He was killin' too. *The minority of white pride who became famous/recognized were pridefull man who could not tolerate differet colored people, that is just a branch of white pride that went crazy for some decades and although it still exists it's not legal anymore. *The whole society sees white people as prettier, sophysticated, and all that pretty stuff. A black woman can never be called 'the prettiest one' because always before her will come a white woman, no matter how attractive(or not) she is. Color is what matters. Society is stupidly obssesed with this. *Meztizo Latin America vs Argentina: You were wondering about hispanics, well this is one of the causes of them hating white people. It's pretty stupid if you ask me, but as an Argie I have to live with this everyday in the internet. 97% of the Argentinian population is white, while the 3% left is made of other south americans whit a citicenship(the most), mestizo and American indian people. Argentina's european ascendence is creating a huge racist problem. We're being hated for being white, we're being made fun of because we're white, then we'll hate you cause you're black/mestizo and make fun of you cause you're fun mestizo. It's stupid, but happens. Although it only happens when both parts feel that the other part is being racist, so if there are no white/black/mezstizo coments, then this won't happen. Overall, if you consider this a tl;dr response, I can sume it up into fewer words. "White pride is wrongly seen because the common white pride we see on tv or history channel came from a few extremist whites that made their ideology a cult. So the rest of the world put all people with white pride into the same bag" I completly agree with white pride, it's as legal as black pride and people should stop thinking about Adolf Hitler everytime they see a white person, not everyone hates blacks, having white pride does not mean you are racist or hate other races, you are pridefull to be white, that's all.

White is not a race. Brown is not a race. Black is not a race. It is all rather silly to be proud of what color you happen to be. Its not like you had a choise in the matter. Know where you come from, but be your own man, or woman. To get respect, one must do things that are respectful. Wearing a shirt that says that you have pride in a certian color will get you neither.

There is a difference between being proud of your heritage and thinking of yourself as a "superior race." Depends on how your show your pride and if it falls into the later category. There are racists who are non-white too...

the term "white pride" being associated with racism in most peoples mind is the fault of the KKK and the Neo-Nazis. In the use and interpretation of language connotation is far more important than denotation.
I have Irish pride personally... But not non specific white pride... though that is because I understand the historical impact of Europeans as a whole, and especially the british which are also part of my heritage, on the US, and indeginious people all over the worl...

having 'brown pride' is racist.
pride in your ethnicity- mexican, polish, chinese, ect- is not racist. you are not saying your group or skin color is better. simply that you are proud of your nation/nation your family is from.
now blacks in america get different treatment on this issue- most don't know which country in africa they come from. it costs thousands of dollars to find out. some have no choice but to say 'black pride' or 'african-american pride' since they can't pinpoint a specific nation.

It is not okay, but it should be. I am white and proud of my whiteness....I could say English, Irish, etc, but why should I? Are all Blacks, Hispanics, Japanese, chinese, etc from the same place? Do they have to be politically correct? Double Standards and reverse racism. Everyone should be allowed to be proud of who they are...as long as that pride does not cause them to look down on others.

The same reason the schools have black history month, latino history month. Why can we not have NATIVE American history month, or white history month. We do not even have a recognized day for either. I wonder?
