i wouldn't consider myself "gorgeous" but i'm not ugly either, i've been TOLD i'm pretty...i admit, i have my ugly days, and my "hot" days but overall, i'm just very happy with the way i look - i have an easygoing attitude, fun personality yet mature and serious at times. I get along great with guys and girls - hate drama.
When it comes to love, i honestly believe (esp. at a young age), it's a waste of emotional, mental, and physical energy if you won't be with someone for a long time or better yet, a lifetime. I'm a one man woman and would rather wait however long it takes to find that ONE guy who completely respects me and not just treat me as a princess, i'm picky for my own good and yes, I'm a virgin b/c i choose to be one. Ppl who i'm close w. and trust who i've shared this with, don't believe me b/c "alot of guys like me" and i'm "pretty" so they all thought i would have given it up, but i haven't...would a guy think this is weird?

Being a virgin is something to be proud of, I know I sure am! People sometimes don't believe me. I am not sure in my case it is so much because of the way I look (I'm about average) but because of the fact that so few people seems to be a virgin at this day and age (which I find to be rather sad) I want to do that with someone special. My boyfriend thinks it is great that I respect my body like that and he said he is willing to wait as long as I want. We don't see each other much but I know he will be the one when the time is right. By the way I don't know if it matters but I'm 18. Don't worry about what the guys might think, if he is a good guy he will understand and respect that! :)

Hi I;m not a young girl, but a Mum with two teenage daughters whom I am very close with. I totally respect where you are coming from and think you are very wise and have a mature attitude and wish more girls thought like you. I just wanted to say that first. I do think things have changed a lot since I was young however I do remember guys thinking the same about pretty girls even when I was young. A lot of them tend not to believe the pretty ones when they say they are virgins. However, I do not think the guys think it is weird. I think they just find it hard to believe as they think you must have had a lot of guys in the past. From both my daughter's advice - a lot (not all) of the pretty girls fall in love with the adoration they receive from boys and lose their virginity in the process as they are fearful of losing this adoration. They seem to believe a lot of these pretty girls have insecurities about themselves even though they get a lot of attention. If the guys you meet do not believe you - stuff them! Wait for someone who does believe and respects your standing on this and respects you as a person. And if they truely think you are weird - then they are not worth it. This is their way of trying to seduce you. They want you to think you are weird to pressure you into sex. This happened in my day too - many years ago. I advised my daughters this goes on and they agree as they see it all the time. They tell me guys too tell you "you want it just as much as me" and they use lines such as "you're as horny as me" and other similar lines to try to convince you to get into bed with them. Don't fall for it! Stick with your convictions and you will be proud, happy and find true love. All the best.

I respect you so much for not just settling for any guy! That is so awesome! Never lower your standards to meet society expectations... Guys mught find it weird though because most pretty girls sleep around alot but if you have sex with a bunch of people than there is no true meaning behind it and it loses how sacride sex should be

Who cares if sombody thinks its weird? You seem to have an idea of what you want so stick with your beliefs. Just because somebody thinks it strange or wrong dont mean that it is.

Pretty girls can be virgins, but it's harder for them because they generally have more boys hitting on them. "Mr. Right" will probably think it's weird when he learns you're a virgin, but I guarantee you he'll love you all the more for it. I hope you're able to live up to the standard you've set for yourself.
By the way, based on your philosophy, I think you're as pretty on the inside as you are on the outside.

its so normal. that is just the way you think and there is no problem with it. we are all different. like me. my friends, most of them have given it up, but i am still waiting to find the guy that really deserves it. so dont worry. that is ok.
