I'm almost 67 and have lost most of my hearing. It is not fun. I presently cannot afford to get hearing aids. That said, I would rather be deaf than blind. I love seeing my children and grandchildren. I might loose my black belt in shopping if I couldn't see.

it doesnt really matter anymore. What scientists know today, can give a blind man sight and a deaf man sound. In ten years, this question will be obsolete. They are tapping straight into the brain and bypassing the peripherals, i.e. eys ears arms. They can Tap into your brain! They got a monkey to control a robotic arm by just thinking!

Deafness.

90% of what people say is pointless. I'd have a good excuse to ignore them.

I'm a visual artist and I see beauty in life's little details, accidental coincidences that are like jokes that only I can get. I have lots of good music already in my head so I can get by. A good baseline is felt in the pelvis anyhow.

lets see, I would chose deafness while my daughter would choose blindness...I would choose deafness because I would miss seeing what i see...My daughter says that losing her sight would be depressing but she's rather be able to hear things around her.

I'd rather be blind. At least I could hear my son talking and be able to listen to music.
