Yes, try ebay. My husband was also able to get me a nice one at a pawn shop a while back. I'm so glad he did, because I have many LPs!

Do you already have a stereo system with phono inputs?
If so, there are plenty of good turntables available. They are marketed to DJ's, so you will not see them in mainstream department stores or places like Best Buy.
Do an online search for "DJ turntable" and see what pops up. Look for brands like Numark and Stanton. Their lower priced turntables are around $100 and are very good. You can spend a lot more of course... The DJ turntables play at 33 and 45 RPM.
If you go the pawn/thrift shop route, be sure to test the unit as older turntables often don't work well or play off-speed. The rubber drive parts can dry out over time.
peace

yes, they do! There is a magazine called oldies.com that carries them sometimes and you can go to their website and get free catalogs, also betty's attic, which is a small catalog carries some and some of the smaller catalog sites do like the ones based from wisconsin, plus you can type in record players on the search engine and they will tell you how to get them, then last but not least I got a record player at k's merchandise for 99 dollars. I still have it and it works great. but then this one also has a cd, cassette and radio in it. hope this helps. If you want vintage record players, trust me they definitely still sell them. k-mart and best buy carry the old phonograph look alike-have you tried there?

I went to a yard sale 3 yrs ago and bought a console record player, a piece of furniture and put it in my living rm. I go to a swop place that has record albums for free,I also saved all my old albums and many from my parents era. I play my records a lot, but recently my son took some records and is putting them on tape for me, do you know anyone that wants to buy albums?

Definitely, try ebay!! Also, there are numbers on records that I think match up with the players they are compatible with. Try searching online for the records you have and see if you can maybe find what they play on. Good luck!

They do still make them. Google "3 speed record players" and you'll find them.
I believe TEAC makes one that is marketed in some stores; otherwise, you'll probably have to buy it on line or through a catalog.
