When Jim Jones' cult The People's Temple was under investigation in the early 70's for tax evasion, is it possible that Jim Jones was bribed by and/or cooperated with the CIA to brainwash his congregation (of roughly 1,000), secretly with the CIA, using them as experimental test subjects?

i've wondered about mind control and government involvement myself, and yes i think when it comes to government black op programs like mk-ultra, they are apt to do just about anything to get results.
the reason i became suspicious about it was the visit by the high ranking government people who went there just before the climax...i don't remember that kind of interest ever being shown in that way by our government to any other religious sect anywhere, much less in another country!...so what was so important for them to see or know?, it is curious, in my never to be humble opinion
and i suppose the objective in that case would be to see to what extremes people could be led and directed by mind control....and it was a perfectly controled environment for an experiment, like a huge petri dish....isolated,etc.
food for thought

i've got learn the opportunity of Jonestown being an MKULTRA test till now. i think of this is entirely accessible. The CIA does various evil issues. thinking approximately it makes my pores and skin circulate slowly. Guyana (Jonestown) could be a appropriate 'controlled' ecosystem because of the fact it became into so "cut back off" from society. this is totally thrilling. i will could do some greater reading on the subject.

It's possible, but not probable........

Not really a plausible test considering the numbers of people that were injected with poison....and considering the number of people that were forced to drink it.

I know it makes for interesting speculation, but you should examine the situation with the facts available. Jones murdered 95% of those people.......they did not have a choice......and a main component of SUICIDE is CHOOSING FREELY to do it.........those people were going to die that day.....no choice about it.........
It wasnt an experiment...........it was murder at the hands of a guy who lost control of his own faculties (sp?)

And to the girl who talked about "high ranking government officials" visiting JTown...........uh, lady, that was a Congressman from California.....he went to Jonestown at the request of the Concerned Relatives...........he wanted to see for himself what the conditions were like there.........
Hardly anything like what you are alluding to.........

Its been said before, although actual proof of it is very scarce, and it seems unlikely that the large number of people that would be involved in creating and oking such a program would be able to keep a secret.
