What are the first three steps toward joining a political party?

I would disagree that it is mind control. For instance, I dislike the way the republicans so deregulate everything to the point that we revert to the old "let the buyer beware" days. That is one of the main things I have against them. I would hardly call that mind control. It is just the tendency of the democrats to regulate commerce for the most obvious reasons.

When there is a republican president, there is a tendency of the management style to change in the work place. When the democrats are in control, the management style is more that of a team than of a military hierarchy. Yes, it trickles down that far.

The democrats have a tendency to make education more affordable and create opportunities for people to improve their lot in life. I'm older and have noticed these things throughout my life. That is why I chose to be a democrat. That doesn't mean that I advocate everything they do, but I like their basic ideals.

1) abandon any critical thinking skills you may have picked up (or just never learn any - easy if you went only to K-12 public schools).

2) memorize the party line

3) open your checkbook and start donating.


Note: by the time you've become one of the hard-core party faithful, there is no mind left to control.

The mainstream media is a very effective mind control device, it keeps people ignorant if not mis-informed. Costs nothing and is painless.
