In a positional system, going from right to left, each position to the left is worth (base) more. So, 41(base 5) is 1 (*5^0) + 4 (*5^1) = 1 + 20 = 21.

Converting 41base5 into base10:
Think of each numeral as it's representative value or place value. In base five, what we usually call the "ten's" place actually represents "five's". This means that every digit in this place value equals 5. What we call the "one's" place still indicates single numbers.
Using this idea, 41base5 really means "4x5 + 1x1" base10
*This means that 41base5 = 21base10*
Converting 92base10 into base2:
This is slightly more complicated. A shortcut (and the easiest way to do so) is to take 92 and divide it by 2. Each time you divide, write the answer with a remainder and then divide by 2 again and again until you are left with either 1 or 0. Then, use all of the remainders you wrote down to form your answer. Start with the number you were left with (if 1-write this first, if 0 - ignore it)... then move to the right and down.

The term "base" refers to the number of possible digits that can be used in any given place. The common system is base 10 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0). In base 5 you would use only 1,2,3,4,0. 10 would equal 5. in base 2 (binary) you would count to 10 in this manner,1,10,11,100,101,110,111,1000,1001,1010.
42 in base five would be equal to 22 in normal numbers(base 10). 92 in base 2 would be 1011101.
