So you won't be lost and silly and just have fun and carry a so-so relationship, I believe when you are 17 or older, even though lots gets start at 13 or so, they are very immature, they don't know nothing, they believe everything , so they are easy targets. They are sooo lost, and that's the reason, they very young, they should be just going out with friends and have fun, get to know the girls and the boys, but just as friends, later on, they will find someone that they can go steady, by then they are more ready.

More important than an appropriate dating age, is the open line of communication the parent/guardian has with the child. Outright forbidding of dating can lead to resentment towards the parent, whereas setting healthy boundaries (i.e. curfews, transportation to and from date, meeting the parents, etc.) show parent interest while building trust with the child. In the long run, the parent will feel more secure than wondering if the child is going behind their back.

Some people have a specific age, but personally I believe that a person is ready to date whenever they are emotionally mature and actually ready to have a serious relationship. Those kids in high school who just date because they think the other person is hot...well, obviously, they're not emotionally mature yet. People mature at different ages, so it's hard to give a specific age.

depends on what you mean by date.
at 12 or 13 you can meet groups at skating rink or basketball game (parents drive you there and pick you up).
at 14 you can go for bikerides with the boyfriend or movies (parents drive you to movie and pick up).
at 15 you can go with girlfriends to pizza place and meet boys there.
at 16 you can drive, so maybe short outings in the car.
you should still have a curfew.
it's a slow progression.
dating is not something that starts all of a sudden at a given age. it progresses from very controlled (by parents) to less controlled with more freedom and time alone.
by whenever you move away from home and are no longer dependent on your parents financially you have complete freedom.
but you get there gradually.

People are emotionally mature at different ages, so there is no specific answer. If you're going to date just because all your friends are, or you think it'll make you look good, isn't at all a "mature" answer. Don't rush yourself!
Wait until you know who you are, and exactly what you're looking for in that special someone.
Good luck!

No age limit as long as you are responsible enough and knows what you are doing.
