The invisible sky god discussed in the fairy tale book, the bible, has no place in modern life. Anyone citing it in a rational discussion should be ridiculed.

No religious or political speech should be banned from any discussion.
Knowledge is power. Wouldn't you want to know if a candidate has an extreme point of view regarding his faith or lack thereof?
We ,as thinking adults, have an inate responsibility to evaluate candidates on what they do, say or believe.
I could not vote for any candidate who didn't believe in evolution because I couldn't trust a candidate that rejects science to make informed decision that may require a basic understanding of science. If you beleive that the world is 5800 years old, how do I know whether you believe pollution is hazardous (maybe you believe that God will just take care of it automatically?)

Until recently, this was how to end a political discussion in America.Just yell that Jebus was a comin' to slaughter the evil bastards anyway, and you won.
Fortunately, there is a rising number of rational people who understand that the anti-Roman agitprop of a hallucinating Greek two thousand years ago does not signify anything other than the deluded beliefs of adults with invisible friends so that is becoming increasingly harder to do.

Why exclude the Bible when any idiot can make a movie about Global Warming and make up facts as they go along, and win an Oscar and a Nobel Prize for it?
I'd say there's no limit to what can be considered in political discussions. Cartoons cause riots, why shouldn't they be part of the discussion, too? If cartoons, why not religious texts?

I'm all for it. Helps in eliminating a possible candidate. Anybody with enough intelligence to find their way to their local polling place should be smart enough to eliminate any candidate that even mentions a biblical reference in their campaign.

I'm racking my brain trying to figure out when I have last seen a reference to Biblical prophecy on the boards. I must have missed it.
I want nothing banned from political discussions if it is a widely held belief of Americans. Biblical prophecy is.

Absolutely. It should have no bearing on any type of decision that could get us all fried, which is the way politics is heading nowadays. We need clear headed individuals who don't believe in unicorns and shi*.

Yes. all religion should be banned from political discussions since we have a separation of church and state. religion should stay in houses of worship and the individual household; it doesn't belong anywhere else.
