They are already on the market. For example Tide HE. Maybe they haven't found their way to your store yet.
Keep in mind the problem of smelly wash developing. Hopefully the detergent manufacturers can modify the emulsifier problems that are causing fungus to grow on the plastics. If you get stinky wash remember www.smellywash.com . It's a for real website.

if you have a HE washer you have to use the he detergent otherwise it will create way more soap than you need and will take longer to get all the soap out of you clothing.
it is like dishwashers you have a formulated soap for that. you can't put reg dish soap in or else someone will kill you for flooding their floor with soap bubbles...ha i did that. and it is soo not funny! ;)
