In general, I would think so. I don't know many real Christians who condone that, though.

But I do think there are extreme circumstances that cause good people to compromise their beliefs. If they perceive a clear and present danger to their loved ones, often they will sacrifice principle for result. It is the Machiavellian philosophy: "The end justifies the means". I don't think that's consistent with Christianity, but many seem to disagree. This is at the core of your question. Would we torture someone who knows where a bomb has been placed, or knows of an attack planned against American people? Does that make it right, if we have a fear? Or, perhaps, if we are truly Christians, we should trust God to get us through without compromising His principles.

Perhaps this is a time in history where we all need to investigate what our principles really are. I ask you, are you willing to risk the lives of your loved ones in order to stand by your ideals? I ask the others exactly how much they are willing to compromise in order to achieve their short-term goals.

Turning up the temperature, turning it down to cold, tossing some water at someone and slapping their face to find out what might save lives strikes me as an interrogation. Putting a blade to one's neck and slicing it until the head comes up is torture \ murder. Perhaps you should understand what side you are on.

If our enemies didn't want to kill us, then they wouldn't be our enemies, would they?
The bible is full of examples of killing.
Besides, our version of torture is pretty lame compared to what the Muslims do to our soldiers.
If some savages who want to kill US citizens have to go through some discomfort while we defend ourselves, I have no problem with that.

No to be a christain means not to torture other human beings. Since terrorists are not human beings there is nothing to worry about.

Not really...look at the Spanish Inquisition and what the Catholics (the original Christians) did to the general Spanish population. No...it's just history repeating itself...we can justify just about anything in the name of JESUS can't we?
