my wife and i are splitting up how do we write up a seperation agreement is there a form to fill out or can it just be typed up on the computer . we live in central new york

You can indeed type one up on the computer. It must be notarized! However, just being notarized will NOT ensure that it is legally binding in the state of NY. The best thing to do is to go see an attorney and have the attorney draw up the agreement for you.
