My boss was pissed the other day and he told me that I basically told me i need to improve upon a few factors in my job and that he is having doubts about me in my ability to perform the duties of my job. He was kind of a dick about it.

Another girl, with the same position as mine, i worked with opened the store too late and left the backdoor unlocked.

Do you think my manager is saying the same crap to him?

It doesn't matter whether the manager is saying the same things to other people, it only matters what they say to you.

Feedback isn't really about you, it's about your performance. Clearly, you need to bring your performance up.

Did your manager give you specifics? That's what you need. What can you do to improve? You need to figure this out. If the boss didn't provide it, go back and ask. Don't take it personally, just figure out what to do to do the best job possible. Hints: show up early, stay late, do extra work, be diligent in turning in accurate work, be the kind of employee you would like to have working for you. If you learn to do your best and work hard and learn, that will serve you well in the future. Otherwise, your questions about work always seem petulant and immature, and I'm sure that's not what you want.

Did the two of you work together on the same day? Not sure about that so I'll just go by my question as yes.

There's no way to know that unless you ask the other person you worked with gives you the "straight poop."

Did your boss give you specifics as to what he thinks the areas you are lacking in? If he mentioned the back door being left open, tell him you weren't responsible for that happening nor were you responsible for opening the store late.

Since your boss was telling you about "your lack of" he should have told you the specifics. Other wise how are you going to know what areas to improve in.

If the boss thinks the store isn't being run properly then he should talk to all employee's. Whether he did is any ones guess.

Ya know what...maybe you're not doing a good job in some areas and as your supervisor, he's pointing this out to you. Could be that he's the type of person who is uncomfortable with giving criticism, but feels more comfortable dishing it out when he's aggrivated, as a way to vent. That's probably not the best way to communicate his discontent with your job performance, but take it for what it's worth. The world of work is not always fair. But instead of taking offence to the way he's handling it, focus on your job perfomance and way to improve in the areas he's addressing. Could you be the type who takes offense to any type of criticism? If so, you'll not get very far in the workforce. Improve in the areas he's addressing and you'll more than likely be in his favor. He makes the decisions about your raises or lack thereof, right?

K... your boss could just be a typical asshole.. or maybe its something that you've done in the past that he's holding as a grudge... well what you can do about this is.. work upon what hes said to you.. and if he still finds something to pick on you about in an unproffessional manner.. then shove a foot up hiss aeesss... lmao no no .. confront him and ask him whats bothering him.. and you know him better.. if hes proffessional at what he does.. im sure he spoke to your colleague about their problem too.
