Great question!

I'm an independent voter, so I'll give you the candidates from both the Dems and GOP.

Barack Obama for the Democrats.
I think that he would heal that bad reputation that we have overseas. He doesn't seem processed like Clinton or Edwards.

Ron Paul for the GOP.
He's a man a great character, who says what he thinks even if it isn't expedient for him to do so. We differ on many issues (I would describe my self as centrist), but he has been personally nice to me (I received letters from him, even though I am not a Republican, libertarian or in his district.)

Obama/Richardson or Huckabee/Ron Paul (toss up)

Obama is idealistic which is an appealing quality in today's climate.

Richardson has poor presence but boo-coo resume.

Huckabee seems to know the true lay of the land moreso than the other Repubs.

Paul is the Constitution's greatest advocate. He does not have as good of a stage presence as Huckabee though.

Well if I was to vote for one of the opposite party I would vote for Hillary. The reason, well she says she can do all this wonderful stuff for our nation, "free healthcare" and she says that Bush and all the Republicans are messing up all the time and making us look bad and that we should be nicer and try ways to get along with all of these nations that hate us. So she seems to think she can do a better job, go on, give it a try. I bet our taxes would be through the roof and we would end up giving in to every nation that even looked at us cross eyed. We would more than likely be in a world of hurt, but she and so many other people think she is so wonderful, so I say here let's give her a try and then you all will see that W. Bush was at lest concerned about protecting this nation and that the Republicans would not hand out so many entitlements that the people working will have to pay much, much higher taxes. They want her so bad, here, have her for a while, I just do not want to hear one Democrat complain about anything they are forced to suffer. Then in 4 years we can boot her out and maybe find someone who will look out for the USA from Islamic nations wanting to rule America, kill or enslave everyone not a Muslim. Then they could see that you will be still having to pay for healthcare. Not like 100 or 200 dollars out of your pay check each month for insurance, but like 400 in extra taxes so everyone can have "free healthcare". I'm just saying they want her, here ya go you can have her, then tell me how wonderful she is, and what a great job she is doing! Hey maybe I would be wrong, Oh I would love it if I was!!!!! I just don't see how I could be. =)

In general, I'd like a conservative Democrat, so I could stomach a guy like Sam Nunn or Lloyd Bentsen (assuming he was still alive). I'd have to see more of their positions on issues.

Out of the current crop, Bill Richardson impresses me the most. I'm not a fan of all of his positions, but his qualifications dwarf those of frontrunners Clinton, Edwards and Obama.

HOWDY!!! andy g,
Sorry to be late on all the questions but as you know I haven't felt well lately.

For me I must say my brain is scrambled on who to vote for. None of them seem to be anything except to put each other down. It is going to be a call after I find out who is put in the final race.

I am not going to vote for him, but it would be Obama. I respect his saying what he believes to be right. Even if it does not go along his party lines. He answers questions, doesn't dance around them, like Hillary

Ron Paul for two reasons. First he is willing to reinstate the idea of checks and balances, second, his extremely conservative views would be nearly nullified by the congress.

My pick would be Bill Richardson because he would do the least amount of damage to this country.
