Is it the crowds, the absene language, the abusive jestures, people cutting you off in traffic, the road rage, the hateful looks or hopping they didn't get your plate number after you have done all of the above to get that special presant for the one's you love?

Ah, GREEDY kids (for sure .. and even as young adults .. they can be so GREEDY and NASTY if they don't get that 'top' toy of the season), nasty ex-es, relatives that crawl out of the woodwork (that you never knew you had), demands for donations (from dubious charities -- especially those junk mail solicitations), the Solicitation Phone Calls, the way that Christmas Displays are crawling ever more closely towards Labor Day and Independence Day (I rue the day when we have Christmas Displays put up in the stores as we are celebrating Independence Day of the US), etc etc etc ...

ALL this makes for a very bad holiday season!

I work at a mall, so the holidays in general are not a good time for me. I have 80 hour work weeks with customers that are put on earth to make my life a living hell, rarely get to sit down and eat something, don't get time with my family during the time of year that you would really like to spend more time with them, sit in traffic trying to get to work and trying to leave work, and I still am rushing to buy gifts for my own family. So, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE remember that the girl behind the counter is a person too and she can't help it if they are out of the only thing that Uncle Bob ever, in all his life, wanted for Christmas!

The feelings of emptyness and realizing that nothing material brings you happiness and that holidays were so much more fun when you were little. Fighting family members that want your time even though you can't enjoy yourself or each other rushing around...Bratty kids demanding the "it" toy of the season even though it's a vibrating retarded muppet...I could go on and on...

None of that, because I live in Minneapolis and it's like that all year round.
The worst part of the holidays for me is all your friends and relatives trying to monopolize all your time with countless, parties and get togethers.
