Yes, a very long time ago.
(actually I can remember when there was not a single McDonalds in the UK) When they first opened we thought it very strange that you had no cutlery, no plates and no chairs -you had to perch on these very silly half stools. Why it caught on I don't know. Two happy meals five years ago cost under £4 stirling. Now the kids want large chicken selects etc, my husband took them last week, it cost over £12 and all he had was a coffee!

The good old days,when gas was 17 cents a gallon a meal was $1 and a pack of ciggs was 25 cents,now gas at $3 something a meal at 5 something and smokes for 5 something,well we can thank Mr Bush for this sh!tty economy.

I remember when they were 15 cents each for the same little burger that is now $1.09.
And I bet they tasted better way back when, too.
