The birth control causes your body to ovulate regularly...it does strengthen your odds.

Good Luck - may a healthy baby be your end result!! : )

That's really weird - I thought that the birth control pill actually stopped you from ovulating - if this isn't the case, then how does the pill keep you from getting pregnant?
Good luck at any rate!

some dr put you on B/c to regulate your cycles, but you are ttc why would they do that? I am ttc#1 and never had reguler cycles, I finally got a 29 day cycle and guess what I am not on B/C I am on metformin, this is a pill use to help ladies with pcos get a reguler cycle and helps their body start to ovulates on its own again. I tried the B/C thing in the past, I did it for 3 cycles hoop of it and still didn't conceive, try asking your dr about Metformin or clomid

Good luck to you and baby dust...Have you been having fertility problems? Why didn't your doctor give you clomid?
That too will help you ovulate.

Baby dust to you...Start taking prenatal vitamins that way if you get pregnant your body will have the nutrients it needs to support a healthy pregnancy.
