You don't have the same team. You are not playing the same team. Maybe the Kansas City Royals can start saying they will win the World Series next year just because "They did it in 1985"...get off the past and face reality. Do you deep down believe you can win the next 3 in a row?

I'm a Sox fan and yeah, our team can do it.
But they might not, because, as you point out, only something like 3 of our players were with the team in '04. Seriously, the whole of baseball and sports is really quite ridiculous in this regard.
HOWEVER, these are MY Sox and I'm pulling for them!

They will not come back, they do not have Dave Roberts and when Dave Roberts stole that base he was in Boston with the crowd behind them. It is hard to start momentum when you are on the road.

just like the guy up top said, its all they have to hold on to. its kinda sad really. i give them credit for having faith but seriously let it go. the worse part about it is that its all they will have for the next 86 years.
