"I like drinking beer, going to the movies, playing pool, cooking, listening to music." Now these are not my words but yours. All of these are not just kind of available but are so close to you that you can't turn not have them there. If you have some friends over have a grill in the back yard, you can have beer drinking, cooking, music there in the back yard later you and friends can go to the movies and then stop off at a pool hall on the way home and play a game or two and listen to the music in the pool hall and usually drink beer there also. San Antonio is only boring when we let it be but no more so than any other place on earth, but if you look around a little bit you will find that it isn't boring at all. You like spots, there is the Spurs, The Missions, Almost all high schools have a football, basketball, and baseball team, along with the many country clubs, swimming, boating, hunting, fishing, and much much more

I do not live there currently. But if I could get a job there and a decent place to live, I would move there in a heartbeat. I love San Antonio and have visited several times. San Antonio could not be any more boring than Kansas City.

Having never lived there, I can't say. However, when I was a camper a few years ago I met a number of people from that area and they said it was a great place to raise a family. I suppose it depends on what you mean by 'boring'. I you have particular tastes and interests that are not the norm for the general public, you may not find many venues where you can be comfortable. Money talks, so if you can find others that share your interests perhaps you can convince someone to put down some money and build a place you and your friends will go to. Good luck!!

San Antonio is definitely not boring! Not to mention that the city is up and coming. I feel lucky to be here now and see what the city will become in the next few years.

= The weather is mild year-round. It doesn't get too cold in winter, nor too hot in summer. The cost of living is pretty high. Housing, gas and taxes are all expensive. There are some very expensive cities nearby where every house is over $1 million (and WAY up from there). San Jose is one of the safest large cities in the US. = San Jose is very boring because former politicians along with current politicians own all the property in all the zoned for commercial use areas. Oh yes, Feinstein's hubby, the former Mayor Tom McHenry or Enry...I forget...

AFter viewing your 360 page and seeing your preferred activities, I would think that SA would have everything you could want.
I have lived all over the US and the world and have never found anywhere I have lived boring. If you are bored, then maybe you need to look, there really aren't many larger cities to look in for more to do. If you are bored in the 7th largest city in the US is there really going to be that much more in the other 6 larger cities to entertain you.
Incidentally, I noted on your 360 page that you have lived in San Antonio from 2001 through 2009. Isn't it only 2007?? Maybe you are bored because you are 2 years ahead of the rest of us.

Of course not!! You can literally do something different just about every weekend. Whether its going to hear some music downtown at El Mercado, visiting our historic missions, dancing at one of our many nightclubs, watching the Spurs, or the Missions. All of our festivals in our lovely city or the surrounding small towns. Flea markets, the Riverwalk, La Cantera, golfing, visiting our parks, tubing down the river, antiquing, volunteering, visiting our museums, bike riding, Sea World, Fiesta, La Villita, outdoor concerts at Brackenridge, downtown, cold beers at La Tuna and on and on.................Explore you will not be bored
