No way. The novelty wore off that act a long time ago, in my opinion.
I'd keep it as a souvenir, especially since it's not something you're likely to have happen too many times in your life.

I have a bet with my son, so I need expert info. A home run was hit at Cleveland and I saw a lady who looked like she was going to throw the ball back on the field, but didn't. Then I saw a male make what looked like a payoff and was given the ball. Am I correct? What did you see? Contact me at ivazian@sbcglobal.net.

I would throw the ball back if I was havign a good day and caught an opposing teams homerun. Security would ask you to leave in most parks.
However I would also say people who throw back a different ball and keep the homerun are chumps, throw it back or dont throw anything at all.

If you throw the ball back at Jacobs Field, security kicks you out of the game

If I had caught that record breaking ball of Barry Bonds I would have thrown it back. In dramatic fashion too. Then I would be sick to my stomach with the thought of throwing away all that money from selling it.

I don't know what I'd do if I caught the ball, but don't you get kicked out if you throw the ball back?
