What's in a game (pc, console, etc) that makes you like it and keep on playing it?, Is it the graphics, the gameplay, what exactly do you love and why?.

I love games like Hitman where you gotta come up with a strategy to win, also old adventure games like Maniac Mansion, The Dig, Full Throttle - Those were (among others) the best to me - but I'm a little of an old-timer :)

What about online games? would you rather play an online game (Because of?) or an offline game where you have all the time of the world to play and do things at your own speed?.

I like both but the former is prohibitive since it demands a lot of time...

Well.....first and foremost would be graphics. Eye candy always keeps you riveted to a game or at least it helps. I'd also have to say the game play. For starters...I don't cheat and I never have used cheat codes. Whats the point?
I have Silent Hunter III going on right now. Each night when i come home from work I fire it up and play it for a couple of hours. Its one of those games where you can walk away and you still progress. Of course...if you're looking for instant action and gratification you aren't going to find it with this game. But if you want to do things right and command a U-Boat and search for fat, juicy outbound convoys or that lonely freighter that's a sitting duck target then your patience and skill in using sonar to find your prey pays off.
But...most kids can't be bothered with real time simulation that taxes your mind. They want instant action and success. Me? I'd rather plan my moves. Nothing is more satisfying than a victory that was well planned and executed meticulously.

I love the graphics in the game. I also love games that are adventurous. Games that are actually a challenge to play are the most fun. I think the sims games are dull because we get enough of real life and I want a great storyline in a game that keeps you wanting to know more.

Games like Dark Alliance: Baldur's Gate and Halo are my favorite.

I like offline games better because of what you said and they tend to have a better storyline and graphics.

im a big fan of story line..... i need an idepth story line that keeps changing and twisting along the way.

also the game needs to be decently hard (but not so hard u got to be a professional to beat it)

in rts i like a well developed tech tree that is ez to follow and a good story in the story modes (such as starcraft and C&C)

i dont like in online RTS when ppl just rush it takes away the fun of building an army then attacking that where the real stratagey is.

I like Mario Kart on ninetodo 64 because it makes me practice to be in front everytime and it makes me be the best on competeing and having momentrum on beating everbody.
I always practice on Mario Kart everyday. So that why I like Ninetodo 64 and the Indy game at GameWorks too. Thanks for your question and your time too. Have a great year. Jared

It really depends on the game. With RPGs, I want to have an indepth storyline, strategy, and good sound/music. If I play any sports or fighting titles, I want to have good graphics and responsive controls.
