There is an easy site to use called "what tree is it?" that you can use to identify by leaf or other stuff, I use it all the time.
www.oplin.org/tree
Could be a Sassafras. If it is it will smell really good when you crush the leaf. Small tree, leaves look like mittens.
Other than other peoples suggestions it could also be a maple cultivar. Some of them have small leaves with fewer lobes.

I will give you several to search.
It will be easier for you to see than for me to guess.
Scroll down to
List of tree species in this key.
then click on the tree and it will show you the leaves/needles and the bark.

Here is one but pictures are of drawings not real photos

*********EXCELLENT WEBSITE*******
This gives you identification by state, extention and university as well as
U.S. Forest Service/Department of Agriculture site
Tree/Leaf Identification Guide
The first four listed are probably going to be the most useful.

Good Luck in finding it.

That could be anything, from an oak tree to poison ivy. Go to arborday.org
They have an online tree identification thing.
