Clinton probably does not know either! She says what she thinks people want to hear. She has beat her health program to death over the past15 years and found no congressional or political support but continues trying to tell America it is the best plan. She wanted to give every body an extra $1,000.00; for what - more votes. She probably could not tell you -1 - what the middle class really is, 2 - what the income brackets for the middle class are, 3 - what the tax rate for the middle class is! She has been in office for seven years and has not done anything to strengthen the middle class - why should we expect her to do any differently as president? Good question - why don’t you send it to the Republican debates?

Politicians like to talk about middle income. When you use the word class, you are implying that there is a firm hard line between certain groups. That doesn't happen in America. Money is not the sole determinator. Education, political power, job status, and social attitudes also influence this. Some base it on net worth.
There is no simple answer.

"Middle class" is all hogwash. Do you really need such a label? I don't. Any person running for office would be smart to make promises to said "middle class" because that's what there seems to be the most of and who often dream of becoming rich. I think people should just be happy with where they are at rather than use the term "middle class" to either be a victim, get special privaleges or make themselves feel special. I am happy where I am at and could care less what other people promise me.

Not true. She's a Marxist that is a globalist which will destroy the remainder of what once was the middle-class here.I'd concur with other guy on numbers. And when you look at the substandard wages these days it really takes either two incomes or a college education to make it.That's not what the midde-class was 30 years ago.Any adult with an 8th grade education could get a decent paying job.

Middle Class doesn't exist anymore! If you aren't making $100.000 a year or more good luck paying your basic expenses ( food, medical, home heating, gas for your car, clothing, insurance..ETC....)... i quess that omits alot of us Americans from " Middle Class".....two classes - poor and rich .

Nearly anyone who doesn't make 10 million a year seems to consider themselves middle class. It is more of a political buzz word than anything grounded in reality when politicians throw it around.

If the Democrats get in we won't have a middle class, just varying degrees of poor.
